Charlie, Community Liaison
I am a very lucky cat. I was actually rescued not once but twice before I came to the Sundance Ranch Sanctuary. First I was saved by a very nice elderly human who stays at what the humans call "base housing" and she put me on her covered porch, but I got confused where I was and panicked and ran. Then I was lost and could not find my way back to the nice woman. A few days later a young woman on this base housing found me and took me home. I stayed with her for a few days until she took me to the nice doctors at All Pets Animal Hospital in Clovis, NM. The doctors at the animal hospital called the sanctuary and here I am.
I tell everyone I see that I am just a big marshmallow and would love to have a family of my own. I'm affectionate, playful and love all my friends. The humans here at the Sundance Ranch take great care of me and my friends. I get lots of good food, love and treats!
I live with 30 cats in the newest building called the "Cat Fancy Mansion". They don't use any cages here at the Sundance Ranch. Each group of cats has free run of there own 1000 square foot building. It's a lot of fun to live here, I have catwalks in the ceiling to hide on, ramps, and stairs to run up and down, hammocks to sleep in, and windows to watch wildlife, I can even go safely outside and play anytime I want, without the fear of being hurt or getting lost. The outdoor courtyard is fenced in on all sides, has a roof (in case I want to play in the rain), and all kinds of places to rest or watch the local birds.

Charlie, 4 years old, and blind, but affectionate to no end.
